G-trac system provides the facility of geocoding, a process of finding allied geographic coordinates, i.e. latitude and longitude with the help of geographic data say for example- street address, or postal address.
Various uses:
How It Works?
The geocoding geographic software depends upon stored longitude/latitude designations for the end points of sections of streets. For example, a geocoding software package will have stored in it the longitude and latitude of each of the endpoints of the "600 block" of "Main Street" in a particular town. It will relate the address "600" with one end point, and the address "700" with the other endpoint. An address in that block will dispersed a longitude and latitude location that is between the two endpoints in the same relationship by which the street address is between 600 and 700.
