Why Localization?
If a producer wishes to sell a product in a given market, he has to provide relevant product information in the language spoken in that country, regardless of whether his product is a complex software system worth $100,000 or a biscuit pack at $1. Obviously, if a region specific translation is not available, all such products or items will loose consumer interest and encounter market entrance barriers. This can occur because anyone remotely interested in a purchase, would be immediately discouraged from buying the product if he is unable to read the instructions manual or even figure out what the item is.

Localization along with translation is a key to success in our global economy. Localization is the process of adaptation of products or services to the cultural, legal, linguistic, and technical requirements of a specific locale. ITGC can provide you the world-class translation and localization services you need. Localization is a complex process involving many steps:
- Reviewing target markets to identify local linguistic and environmental requirements.
- Analyzing products to determine areas to be adapted.
- Extracting text and other linguistic or culturally sensitive material.
- Translating and modifying elements.
- Reengineering the core product to accept new foreign market content (e.g., resizing of buttons to accommodate new text).
- Testing new foreign market editions to ensure they meet the performance standards of the domestic product.
In Short Localization process includes: Translation of all terms, abbreviations, symbols and units (all language specific components) into the language of a given country (for example, when dealing with software, we translate the user interface, online help, messages that may be displayed, and all documentation).
